Forest Ecological Management Advisory Board

Arizona Forest Restoration Products welcomes the fact that it is accountable to the Northern Arizona ecological management community.

The company will proactively seek the guidance of the ecological management community by creating a Forest Ecological Management Advisory Board that will regroup all relevant local constituencies who support the overarching vision that if it is to survive the forest needs to be actively managed, and who are interested in participating in the company ecological intervention, and in sharing their expertise.

AZFRP will proactively seek the involvement in its Forest Ecological Management Advisory Board of constituents such as:

• Northern Arizona University School of Forestry

• Northern Arizona University Ecological Restoration Institute

• Greater Flagstaff Forest Partnership

• Coconino, Kaibab, Prescott, Apache-Sitgreaves, Tonto, Cibola, Gila, etc. national forests

• Arizona Game & Fish Department

• U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service

• Navajo Nation

• White Mountain Apache Tribe

• Northern Arizona Fire Departments

• Northern Arizona  local communities

• Etc.

The charter of the Forest Ecological Management Advisory Board will be to provide guidance to the company leadership on all aspects of the impact that the company wood procurement may have on the local environment.

Forest Ecological Management Foundation

Arizona Forest Restoration Products also welcomes the fact that as a community member proactively engaged in active conservation, it has a leadership role in the community.

The company will create a Forest Ecological Management Foundation that will be dedicated to promote and support Forest Ecological Management research and education.

The foundation will award scholarships to students based on need, merit, and specific achievement goals, and will provide funding to academic and field research based on specific projects goals and relevance.

Additionally, the foundation will be actively engaged in sponsoring an Education and Awareness Forest Ecological Management program from local Elementary Schools to local High Schools, and will participate in, and support, all relevant local activities.
