National Association of Home Builders Certification
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is a trade association that helps promote the policies that make housing a national priority. In order to promote innovation in housing technology to improve the quality, durability, affordability, and environmental performance of homes and home building products, it established the NAHB Research Center.
To fulfill its missions, the NAHB Research Center has created in 2005 a Quality Assurance Program, and offers to certify manufacturers who meet the program requirements. This program has been accredited in December 2005 by International Accrediting Services, an organization that accredits testing and calibration laboratories, inspection agencies, building departments, fabricator inspection programs and special inspection agencies.
The intent is to provide an independent third-party certification that is relevant to the manufacturers’ business goals of enhancing customer satisfaction, improving operation efficiency, and developing brand recognition. This program is developed and implemented to assure that the manufacturer’s Quality Management System (QMS) is capable of providing products that meet all applicable specifications, and is effectively applied and continuously improved.
To meet the program requirements the manufacturer’s quality management system must meet the following criteria:
Ongoing verification by NAHB includes:
Arizona Forest Restoration Products will certify its manufacturing facility with NAHB in order to become one of currently only 4 OSB plants certified in the U.S. This certifications will contribute to Arizona Forest Restoration Products’ market penetration, customer satisfaction, operation efficiency, brand recognition, continuous improvement, and sustained profitability.
